Hydrating and Anti-aging handmade soap with Aloe Vera + Avocado Butter
Our latest addition in our botanical and herbal range of handmade soap recipes is the Aloe Vera and Avocado Butter for Hydrating and Anti-aging handmade soap.Â
Aloe Vera for Deep Skin HydrationÂ
We use natural and organic extract of freeze-dried aloe vera powder and fresh aloe vera gel in our handmade soaps. Aloe vera is abundant with water; hence it keeps the skin well hydrated and seals in the moisture. You can follow up with our Lavender and Shea Butter Natural Moisturizer.
Dark spots and Pigmentation, be gone!
It also contains natural sugars, also known as mucopolysaccharides, that help retain the moisture in the skin. Aloe vera has a compound called aloesin, that helps fade dark spots. According to this study, aloesin was also found to be effective in treating UV-induced and post-acne hyperpigmentation.
Impact on COVID-19 on Skin care
With COVID-19, our skin care also needs to adapt and help us fight germs and promote better skin hygiene. Thanks to the antibacterial and antiviral effects of anthraquinones, a compound found in aloe vera, our handmade soap offers natural protection. Given the many benefits of aloe vera for skin and hair, this hydrating and anti-aging handmade soap definitely deserves a permanent spot in your daily skin care routine.Â
Aloe Vera for Blackheads and Whiteheads
The fatty acids and enzymes present in aloe vera gel help to reduce skin inflammation. According to this study, Aloe vera is a natural source of salicylic acids that prevent blackheads and whiteheads. If you have a lot of acne, then consider using our Black Magic Charcoal and Tea Tree soap.
Aging better with antioxidant-rich Aloe VeraÂ
Aloe vera has rich antioxidants that reduce free radical damage, fight inflammation, and naturally slow the aging of cells. Using plant extracts rich in antioxidants promote healthy aging by nourishing the skin. They are also effective in reserving signs of skin damage due to pollution and free radicals.
No Mineral Oils or Foaming Agents
Many commercial moisturizers and soaps are full of fillers like water, fatty alcohols, foaming agents and mineral oil. These products may increase the volume of the product and boost lathering. But they are without discernible long-term benefits for the skin. At The Good Routine, we consciously steer away from these artificial, cheap, toxic ingredients. Instead we turn to natural butters while formulating our handmade soap recipes.Â
Using Avocado Butter in our Hydrating and Anti-aging handmade soap
We loved working with Avocado Butter on our hydrating and anti-aging handmade soap. Like most natural butters, Avocado Butter has small molecular size and is able to penetrate your skin. This allows all of the rich antioxidants, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory compounds to nourish your skin deeply.
According to this study, the essential fatty acids (EFAs) in avocados may delay signs of skin aging. EFAs are important for the synthesis of tissue lipids. They may also inhibit wrinkle formation. That’s why we added a generous amount of avocado butter in our Hydrating and Anti-aging handmade soap.
Avoiding Mineral Oils & Alcohol in your skin care routine
Ingredients like alcohol will either evaporate away or remain sitting on the skin without penetration. This is not the case with natural butters like Shea Butter and Avocado Butter). They are absorbed in the skin easily. Mineral oil can actually clog pores and result in acne breakouts. There are also rising concerns among conscious consumers that mineral oil may be carcinogenic after long-term use. Choose your skin care products wisely.Â
